Mr. Waters was born abt. 1546 in London, England and Mrs. Waters was born abt. 1550 in London, England. I am sure there was more than one son but one is all I can find at his time. His name is James Waters born abt. 1572 in St. Botolph, Aldergate, London, England. Around 1600 James married Phebe Manning in London, she was born abt. 1566 in Downe, Kent, England. James died 2 Feb. 1617 in London and Phebe died in 1642 in Salem, Mass. Again I am sure there was more than one son but so far have only found one and that is:

Richard Waters b. 3 Mar. 1604 in St. Botolph, London, Middlesex, England. He married Joyce Plaise/Plasse, she was born 1616 in St. Botolph, London, England. Richard died 16 Jul. 1676 in Salem and Joyce died 1687 also in Salem. The following dates for the children are

John Waters married Sarah Tompkins 1 Jun. 1663 in Salem, Mass. Sarah was born 1 Jan. 1643 in Salem and died 1707 in Salem. John died 14 Feb. 1706 also in Salem. Their children are:

The next three generations of my tree start with Nathaniel so

have placed a I, II, and III just so

can keep them straight. Nathaniel (I) Waters married Elizabeth King 12 Dec. 1699 in Salem. Elizabeth is the daughter of John King and Elizabeth Goldthwaite, she was born Feb. 1671 in Salem and died 1745 in Salem. Nathaniel(I) died 1718 in Salem. Their children are:

Nathaniel (III) Waters married Eunice Bancroft 13 Oct. 1763 in Worcester, Mass, she is the daughter of David and Eunice Bancroft. Eunice was born 15 Jun. 1741 in Lynn, Mass and died 1810 in Cobleskill, New York and Nathaniel (III) died Jun. 1810 in Cobleskill, Ny. At some point Nathaniel (III) Waters enrolled in the Ulster County, New York Militia under Col. Levi Pawling 3RD Regiment. Nathaniel (III) and Eunice's children are:

Amasa Waters married Lucy Plumb 30 Dec. 1798 in Middleton, Conneticut. Lucy was born 2 Jan. 1779 in Britton, Conn, she is the daughter of Samuel Plumb and Lucy Hinsdale. Lucy died 29 Jan.1871 in Union City, Michigan and Amasa died 8 Sep. 1820 in Jamestown, NY. Amasa and Lucy's children are:

Henry Frank Waters married Serelda Ellen Hunt 17 Nov. 1768 in Fayette Co., Indiana. Serelda Ellen Hunt born 21 Jul. 1848 and died 25 Dec. 1915 in Connersville, Ind. She is the daughter of Uriah & Christeeney Hunt. On her marriage record in Fayette Co., Ind. It is listed as Ellen Hunt married Henry F. Waters.

Elizabeth Rushing Waters was named after either her mother's friend or the mid-wife who helped birth her or perhaps the woman was both. While growing up Elizabeth "Lizzie" was asked a lot if she had indian heritage because of her name. Elizabeth married George Benjamen Welch 20 Aug. 1902 in Fayette Co., Ind. George is the son of John B. Welch (who desserted the family abt. 1902) and Jeanetta Cramer. George was born 17 Mar. 1881 in Fountain City, Ind. Lizzie died May. 1964 and George died 21 Apr. 1945. Both died in Fayette Co., Indiana and both are laid to rest in Dale Cemetery-Connersville, Ind. George and Lizzie's children are:

George Edward "Ed" b. 1903 Fayette Co. and died Dec. 1974 buried in Dale cem. He married Pearl Pollit who died in Florida while visiting their adopted daughter, house fire took the lives of Pearl and a grandchild.

Jeanetta Ellen b. 1904 and died 1 Dec. 1993, she is buried in Dale cem. with her husband Henry Snyder

Elsa/Elsie died 1907 in infancy

Effie Ester b. 1906 and married Anthony Snyder (bro. to Henry)

Eva Elizabeth b. 30 Jan. 1910 Fayette Co. and died 15 Mar. 2007 in Sheridan, Ind she married Homer Wright

John Everett b. 1908 and died 1998 buried in Dale cem on his parent's lot.

Chester Earl "Chick" b. 8 Nov. 1914 and died 19 Sep. 1977 is also buried in Dale cem with his wife Neva on his parent's lot.

Jesse Delores b. 16 Jul. 1917 and died 23 Sep. 1977. He is buried in Dale cem. with his wife Margaret Nobbe

Mary Louise b. 1921 and died 2003. She is buried in Dale cem. with her husband Harry Nobbe.
